Carleton U. “Boomer” LeDrew, Jr., 41 of Lovers Lane in Charlestown, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

He was born in Claremont, NH on September 13, 1967 the son of Carleton U. and Jean D. (Neilsen) LeDrew and had resided in Charlestown all his life.  He was a graduate of Fall Mt. Regional School in the Class of 1986.

Carleton had worked as a molder and welder at Bomar Inc. and at Hemlock Foundry for several years.

Boomer was a talented young man who enjoyed life in many ways.  His love for his boys, his girlfriend Sue, his Dad and all his family and friends will never be forgotten.  He had a gift to make us laugh which will be sorely missed.  Camping, enjoying the Connecticut River, recycling of scrap metal and rooting for the Oakland Raiders were among Boomers favorite past times.  In his own words, “life is good !”

The surviving family includes his twin sons, Benjamin and Zachary LeDrew;  his girl friend, Susan Tanguay; his father, Carleton U. LeDrew, Sr.; one sister, Carla Jean MacDonald and her husband, Bill; two brothers, Keith LeDrew and Richard LeDrew and his wife, Annemarie all of Charlestown and aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, Jean D. (Neilsen) LeDrew on June 12, 1997 and an uncle, Jean’s brother, Alfred N. “Skip” Neilsen on June 13, 2008.

Friends may call at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street in Charlestown on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, October 1st at 1:30 PM in the Charlestown Congregational Church on Main Street, with Rev. Malcolm Grobe, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
