Cheryl Ann Ferland, 52, of Lafayette Street in Claremont, died Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Spencer, MA on March 5, 1956 the daughter of George and Joyce (Chartier) Embair.  She was raised in Brookfield, MA where she graduated from Tantasqua Regional in 1974 and had resided in Claremont for the past 29 years.

Cheryl had worked at Hannaford’s for the past 8 years as a service leader and had previously worked at Encore Shoe and Dorr Woolen Mill.

She was a loving mother and nana.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Crystal Tarr; two sons, Matthew Ferland and Daniel Ferland; three grandchildren, Joseph Tarr, Tapanga Tarr and Felicity Tarr; her mother, Joyce Sargent all of Claremont; five brothers, Brian Embair and James Embair both of Florida, Dennis Embair and David Embair both of Massachusetts and George Embair of Claremont and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father.

A time of fellowship and sharing will be held Thursday evening at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont from 6 to 8 PM.
