Doris Edwina Truell, 72, of Clay Hill Road in Claremont, died Monday afternoon, April 21, 2008 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was born in Johnson, VT on September 14, 1935 and had resided in Claremont most of her life.

Doris retired from Tambrands, Inc. in 1999 where she worked on the assembly floor for thirty-three years and also worked part time at Kleen Laundry both in Claremont.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, knitting, crocheting, fishing, country music and going for rides in the springtime.

The surviving family includes her husband, Elroy Morton Truell, Sr. of Claremont, whom she married on December 1, 2001; four daughters, Joan Safarro of NY, June Brunell, Jade Brunell and Jan Brunell all of Claremont; one son, John Brunell of Claremont; four grandchildren; two great-grand-children; two step-sons, Elroy E. Truell, Jr., of Claremont and Christopher Truell of Walpole; one step-daughter, Traci Nelson of Keene;  nine step-grandchildren; three brothers, one sister and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, John Brunell.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning, April 25th at Eleven O’clock in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, with Rev. Donna Leslie, Pastor of the Croydon Flat Congregational Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield.
