Elaine Mazonna, 68, of Graham, Washington died December 23, 2008 at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, WA after a short illness with cancer. She was born in Barton, VT on August 4, 1940 the daughter of Joseph Antoine and Delia (Valley) Meunier. Elaine lived in Alaska for many years and in Graham, WA for the past six years. She was raised in Claremont and graduated from St Mary’s High School and received her Associate’s Degree as an X-Ray Technician in Manchester, NH. Elaine served in the US Army WAC for three years. She loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, cooking and traveling. She loved to invite soldiers to her home for home cooked meals. Elaine was very involved with the Catholic Church. She belonged to a prayer group and prayed shawl ministry with the Saint Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church at Orting, WA. Elaine will be missed very much by her family and friends. The surviving family includes her husband, Deacon Alvin Kudlook Mazonna of Graham, WA; two sons, Thomas of Alaska and Tony of Montana; one daughter, Delia of Alaska; three grandsons; four granddaughters; one brother, Alfred Meunier of Lempster, NH and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by one brother, Robert R. Meunier in 1995, five sisters, Elizabeth Rita Travis in 2007, Yvette C. Meunier in 2000, Doris A. Frasier in 1998, Madeleine J. Horton in 1979 and Lucille E. Godek in 1971. Graveside committal services will be held Friday, May 8th at Eleven O’clock in St Mary’s Cemetery. |
