Helen M. Paradowski, 93, of Maple Avenue in Claremont, died Friday evening,
March 7, 2008 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born in Claremont, NH, on January 25, 1915 the daughter of Jaroslaw
and Mary (Wolski) Czechowicz.  She live in Claremont mostly all her life
except for six years in S. River, NJ.

Helen attended St Mary's Grammar School and two years of St. Mary's High
School and went into the Sister's of Mercy Convent for a short time.

She and her husband owned and operated the White Eagle Market on the corner
of Pleasant and Prospect Street  for many years.

She was a communicant of St Joseph Church, a member of the Ladies Adoration
Society, the Cenacle of True Devotion to Mary, the St. Cecelia Choir and
Court Virgil H. Barber #892 Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She also received a citation from Gov. John Lynch for her volunteer service
that she gave for many years.

She was the widow of Adolph E. Paradowski who died February 8, 1970.

The surviving family includes one son, Dr. Robert J. Paradowski of
Rochester, NY, a Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology;  one
daughter, Dr. Pamela A. Paradowski of Berkeley, CA; one grandson, Allen
Vania of Marblehead, MA; one sister, Gertrude Kaminsky of S. River, NJ and a
niece Dr. Dorynne J. Czechowicz.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Vania who died in 2005; and two
brothers, Peter Czechowicz in 1982 and Benny J. Czechowicz in 1985.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Monday
afternoon from 2 to 5 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning, March 11th
at Ten-Thirty O'clock in St Joseph Church with Rev. Father Stanley J.
Piwowar, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
