John H. Webb, 75, of Helen Street in Leesburg, GA, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 suddenly at his home of heart failure.

He was born in Bradford, VT on August 17, 1932 the son of Charles and Nera (Bean) Webb.

John was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the Army 82nd Airborne and then later in the US Navy.

He was a recovery diver for bridge construction, machinist and retired after driving trucks for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR Racing.

He was pre-deceased by his older sister, Betty Bushaw; his parents; his step-father, Harold Huntington and a granddaughter, Jennifer Webb.

The surviving family includes one brother, Robert Webb and his wife, Hazel of Corbit, OR; two sons, Robert and his wife, Tina (St. Pierre) Webb of Leesburg, GA and Norman and his wife, Diana (Jewell) Webb of Claremont; two daughters, Donna Hodgdon and her husband, Elmer of Swanton, VT and Kim Fontaine and her husband, Tony of Windsor, VT;

nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his partner of 20 years, Gloria Reitsma of Leesburg, GA.

Per John’s request, there will be a private family service only.
