Rev. John Michael Hawf, Sr., 60, of Main Street in Claremont NH, died Wednesday morning, August 27, 2008 at his home.  He was born in Cairo, Illinois on February 16, 1948 the son of Barclay D. and Mavis M. (White) Hawf.  He had resided in Claremont for the past ten years and had previously lived in Boynton Beach, FL for twenty-eight years.

He was the pastor of the Lighthouse Church on Mulberry Street in Claremont and also owned and operated the Careful and Reliable Transport Company in Claremont for the past five years.

The surviving family includes his wife, Patricia (Joos) Hawf; one son, John Michael Hawf, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Melissa; granddaughter, Hillerie all of Claremont; two sisters, Judy Hawf Jackson of Kennesaw, GA and Cindy Hawf George of Mukilteo, WA; one sister-in-law, Veronica Herbs of Lantana, FL and nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 30th at Five O’clock at The Lighthouse Church, Mulberry Street in Claremont.  Graveside Committal Services will be held at the Boynton Beach Memorial Park Cemetery in Boynton Beach, FL on September 5, 2008.The family suggests that donations may be made in his memory to The Lighthouse Church, for the House of Hope Children’s Home, % 358 Main Street, Claremont, NH 03743.
