John Paul Nichols, 74, of Leslie Avenue, went to his rest on June 23, 2008 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont.

He was born in Needham, MA on April 13, 1934 the son of John C. and Mary (Horsford) Nichols.   The surviving family includes his wife of 54 years; one daughter; four grandchildren; one great-grandson and another will make an appearance in Nov.

Paul served his country with honor and loyalty for 23 and a half years in the US Air Force.  He flew in Vietnam and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his exemplary conduct during those trying times.  He will live on in the memory of his loved ones as a very patriotic and honorable loving man.  He loved to tease and always made burdens lighter.  He will be missed but never forgotten.  We Love you.
