Norma Pearl Poulin, 80, of Hillside Terrace, died Sunday evening, July 13, 2008 at the Haven Health Center of Claremont.

She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on November 29, 1927 the daughter of Alfred and Laura (Henault) Gokey.

She was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1946.  Norma worked as a stitcher and floor girl in the area shoe shops in Claremont and Newport for several years.  She loved the Red Sox and watching her great-grandchildren play baseball.

She was the widow of Harvey C. Poulin who died in 1981.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Karen Gagne of Claremont; three grandchildren, Kenneth Stithen, Karena Reed and Tonya Gagne; five great-grandchildren; three step children; step grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Gokey of California and Donald Gokey of New York also several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Marjorie Dawley and Frances M. Wentzell Smith.

Funeral services will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday afternoon, July 17th at 1:30 PM with Deacon Paul Boucher of St Mary’s Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services.
