Phyllis Ann Thibodeau, 67, of Byrd Avenue in Claremont, died Monday afternoon, September 15, 2008 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

She was born in Walpole, NH on July 13, 1941 the daughter of Clinton W. and Thelma (Woods) Gibson and had resided in Claremont for the past twenty-two years.  She was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, VT.

Phyllis retired in 2003 from Aubuchon Hardware in Claremont where she worked as a clerk and had previously worked for ten years as an assistant manager at Ames Department Store and had also worked at Silver Beach on Crescent Lake for Frank D’Amante.

She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, also enjoyed bingo, cards, fishing and camping with her sister.

The surviving family includes her husband, Jeffrey A. Thibodeau, Sr. of Claremont whom she married May 29, 1967;  one son, Jeffrey A. Thibodeau, Jr. of Claremont; two daughters, Dina Parshall of Corinth, VT and Wendy Mudge of Claremont; five grandchildren and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Clinton Gibson and Thomas Gibson and one sister, Sharon LaPlante.

A private memorial service will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home on Thursday morning, September 18th with interment in St Mary’s Cemetery.

A time of fellowship and sharing of a celebration of her life will be held at St Joseph Parish Hall starting at Twelve Noon on Thursday the 18th.
