Ray O. Smith, Jr., of 77 Broad Street in Claremont, died Monday morning, September 22, 2008 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, born on August 5, 1931 the son of Ray O. and Mary M. (Clough) Smith.

The surviving family includes one brother, Ronald Smith of Claremont; one sister, Patricia E. Parent of Lebanon and nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his parents and two brothers, Philip Smith and Kenneth Smith.

Graveside committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Hope Hill Cemetery in N. Charlestown.
