Richard “Cowboy”  Foisy, 69, of Leo Street, formerly of the Douglas Street Home in Manchester, died March 20, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a sudden and unforeseen illness.

He was born in Claremont, NH on July 28, 1938 the son of Edward and Florence (Lamothe) Foisy.

He had been under special care homes.  At the time of his death he was under the care of extra ordinary staff people at Leo Street.  He had been in Manchester for many years having transferred from Laconia State School.

Richard loved country western music.  A kind, happy loving soul.  He will be lovingly remembered and missed terribly by family and extended family who cared for him.

The surviving family includes one brother, Norman E. Foisy of Manchester.

He was pre-deceased by his father in 1987 and his mother in 1991.

Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday, May 14th at 11:30 AM in St Mary’s Cemetery with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St Mary’s Church, officiating.

The Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Moore Center Services, 195 McGregor Street, Manchester, NH 03102.
