Robert Edward Picard, 80, of Centennial Street in Claremont, died at his
home on Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2008.

He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH, born on June 24,
1927 the son of Arthur and Margaret (Sweeney) Picard.

Robert was graduated from St Mary's High School as President of his class of
1947.

He retired from Joy Manufacturing Company in 1984 where he worked for
thirty-five years.

He was a communicant of St Joseph Church, a member of Father Cote Council
#1820 and Father Cote Fourth Degree Assembly #0635 Knights of Columbus, the
Junior Sports League, the Senior Congress Park, The Claremont Senior Center
and loved to be involved with sports.

The surviving family includes his wife, Margaret (Thibault) Picard of
Claremont whom he married on July 3, 1948; two daughters, Ann Milan of
Claremont and Kathleen Dickson of Clermont, FL; one granddaughter, Jennifer
Mayen; three grandsons, Gregory Boisvert, James Milan and Andrew Milan; six
great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by one brother, Paul Picard and one sister, Margaret
Hastings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, March 15th at Two O'clock
in the Stringer Funeral home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of
St Joseph Church, officiating.

Graveside committal services for Robert Edward Picard, 80, of Centennial Street in Claremont, who died, March 9, 2008 will be held Friday afternoon, May 23rd at One-Thirty in Union Cemetery in West Claremont with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, Pastor of St Joseph Church, officiating.
