Roger Lawrence Benware, 52, of Union Street in Springfield, VT, died at his home on Thursday, May 22, 2008.

He was born in Claremont, NH on April 17, 1956 the son of Arthur L. and Jeannette T. (LaRoche) Benware and had resided in Claremont most of his life.  He was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1975.

He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and watching movies and sports on TV.  Roger retired, due to disability, from Claremont Ford where he worked as a car salesman for several years.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Angela Benware of Baltimore, MD; one son, Tony Benware of Charlestown; his mother, Jeannette Benware of Claremont; two sisters, Lucille Tewksbury and her husband Tharon and Linda Mosher and her husband John all of Unity; his friend Sharon Anzalone of Springfield, VT and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St Mary’s Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.
