Theresa Margurite Cota, 77, of 243 Broad Street and a former long time resident of Puckershire Avenue in Claremont, died Tuesday evening, August 26, 2008 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH born on June 22, 1931 the daughter of Gedeon and Bernadette (Descoteau) Dodier.

Theresa worked for Tafatts Laundry, Ideal Laundry and Claremont Steam Laundry and also at Peterson Plastics.  

She was the widow of Robert Joseph Cota whom she married on April 23, 1949 and he died April 17, 1998.

The surviving family includes three daughters, Joyce E. Hubbard of Flint, MI, Jean M. French of Newport, and Brenda L. Vaughn of Charlestown; two sons, Kenneth J. Cota of Claremont and Ronald J. Cota of Unity; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Milan of Windsor, VT and Rena Hendee of Springfield, VT; one brother, Norman Dodier of Panama City, FL and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 29th at Eleven O’clock in St Mary’s Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor officiating. 

Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.
