Thomas ("T") Aquinas Cahill, 72, of 188 Commonwealth Road in Wayland, MA, died December 25, 2008 at the Wayland Nursing & Rehab Center.

He was born in Quincy, MA on April 27,1936, the son of Thomas and Margaret (Collins) Cahill.  T's father was born in Limerick, Ireland.

A few years after graduating from high school in Quincy, Tom served in the US Air Force (1958-1960). He loved airplanes and worked as a mechanic for Pan American World Airlines for several years in New York City.  In 1962, Tom was married to Ruth Ann Carreio.  After a few years, they moved to Lexington, MA, and Tom worked for Honeywell, Inc. in Brighton, MA.  In 1973, he founded Cahill Appliance Service, which he sold when he retired in 2004.

The surviving family includes one son, Paul Cahill of Woburn, MA; one adopted daughter, Rebecca Ann Crescio of Burlington, MA; and his 2nd family, Sherri Mongeon of New London, NH, Paul Jones, of Bedford, MA, and Deborah Cahill, of Lexington, MA, also several nieces and one nephew, Rick Swett of Plano, Texas.

He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Ann Marie Dishart and Eileen Swett and his brother, William Cahill.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, December 29th at Eleven O'clock at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont, NH.

Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.
