Ada L. Fletcher, 47, of South Main Street in Newport, NH, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a long illness.  She was born in Portland, ME on March 15, 1962 the daughter of Paul M. and Gloria L. (Harris) King and had resided in Newport several years.

She was in the National Guard for 12 years doing multiple tasks.

Ada worked at Rite Aid in Newport as a pharmacy technician and was a support aid for DSSC.

She enjoyed camping, gardening, socializing and was a member of the Newport Family Moose Center.

The surviving family includes her husband of 21 years, Warren D. Fletcher of Newport; a daughter, Amanda Brokaw of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Scott Fletcher of W. Lebanon and Justin Fletcher of Canaan; five grandchildren; her father, Paul M. King of Maine; two sisters, Gloria L. Harris of Newport and Sharon Gray of S. Paris, ME; five brothers, Robert W. Harris of Chipley, FL, Phillip K. Harris of Lewiston, ME, David L. Harris of S. Paris, ME, James D. Harris of Lakeland, FL and Charles A. King of Gray, ME and several nieces and nephews.   She was pre-deceased by her mother, Gloria L. King, a sister, Dorothy Vera and a niece, Mary L. Bartley.

A memorial service will be held at the Newport Moose Center on Saturday, April 11th at 4:30 PM.
