Alan Scott LaClair, 48, of Olds Road in Lempster, NH, died Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2009 in Colebrook, NH.

He was born in Claremont, NH on September 6, 1961 the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Carrier) LaClair.  He had resided in Lempster since 1992 and had previously lived in Claremont for two years and in Unity most of his life.

He was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1979.

He was employed at Whelen Engineering as a toolmaker for the past four years and had previously worked at Sturm-Ruger for five years and at Holson Photo Album Co. for over twenty years.

He was a member of the NRA, the Unity Beagle Club and enjoyed his ATV’s.

The surviving family includes his fiancée, Rita Yurek of Lempster; one son, Patrick LaClair of Newport; two grandsons, Hunter and Landen LaClair; one step-son, Andrew Yurek; his mother, Dorothy Nies of Charlestown; two brothers, Carlton LaClair of Unity and Melvin LaClair of W. Lebanon; also very close friends, Jim and Cammie Bailey and Alfred and Linda Loiselle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31st at 1:30 in the afternoon in the Stringer Funeral Home with Rev. Father Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
