Alice M. Davis, 94, formerly of Twin Maples Mobile Home Park, Charlestown, NH died Monday morning, March 16, 2009 at the Sullivan County Healthcare in Unity, NH.  She was born in Strafford, VT on December 21, 1914 the daughter of Frank and Ida (Bruce) Morse and resided in Charlestown since 1923. She graduated from the Charlestown High School in the class of 1934.

Alice was a member of the Charlestown Fire Department Auxiliary, the North Charlestown Methodist Church, The Mother’s Club, a former civil defense groundfield observer and a former member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Guild.

She married Ralph R. Davis on August 15, 1936 in Alstead, NH and he died August 23, 1989.

The family includes two sons, David R. Davis and his wife Josephine and Robert L. Davis and his wife Joanie both of Charlestown; two daughters,

Cora LaClair and her husband Ronald of Unity and Janet Cheney and her husband Harley of Sunapee, NH; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Nelson in July 23, 2007; four brothers Alonzo Morse, Nelson Morse, Vernon Morse and George Morse.

Friends and family may call Wednesday, March 18^th from 6 to 8 pm at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street Charlestown, NH.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 19^th at 11am in the North Charlestown Methodist Church with Pastor Reverend Shinhyung Ahn and Reverend Heidi J. Smith co-officiating. Burial will be in Hope Hill Cemetery in the Spring.
