Barbara A. Carter Silver, 61, died unexpectedly August 27, 2009 at Springfield Hospital.  She was born in Crawford, Nebraska on March 25, 1948 the daughter of David and Hazel (Morrow) Carter.  She had lived in Florida for the past five years and moved back to Charlestown, NH a month ago.

Barbara worked for the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in housekeeping and for WKS Resources from 2001 to 2005.  She also worked for Warbird Museum in Titusville, Florida.  She was a member of the Charlestown VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Titusville, Florida.

Barbara married Paul (Buddy) Silver on December 31, 1983 in Bellows Falls, VT and he died May 5, 1992.

The family includes her mother of Charlestown; one son, Robert (Bob) Reynolds of Charlestown; one sister, Mary Lawlor and her husband Robert Sr. of Westminster, VT; three brothers, James Carter and his wife Cindy of Charlestown, Richard Carter and his wife, Luann of Claremont and Allan Carter of Charlestown;  several nieces and nephews, also her beloved birds and cats.  She was predeceased by her father David Carter in April 27, 2009 and her brother Douglas Carter in April 22, 1979.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont on Thursday, September 3rd at 11am with Rev. Susan Grant Rosen, Pastor of the Charlestown Congregational Church, officiating.

A reception will follow at the Charlestown VFW on Lovers Lane Road.
