Bruce Edward Tierney, 54, formerly of 257 Pleasant Street in Claremont, NH, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Sullivan County Health Care.

He was born in Keene, NH on December 4, 1954 the son of Edward and Elsa Grace (Bruce) Tierney and had resided in Claremont since 1955.

He started working at Mary Hitchcock in the X-Ray Department and

retired in 1995 from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he worked for nine years as a central service technician, later worked part time at Aubuchon Hardware for seven years as a clerk and last as a dining room attendant for one year at Sullivan County Health Care.

He attended the Calvary Baptist Church.  He owned an RV at the Bible Conference Campgrounds in Rumney for several years and enjoyed art, skiing, biking and landscaping.

The surviving family includes his mother, Elsa Grace (Bruce) Tierney a long time resident of Claremont and one sister, Marcia Tierney of Newport; several nieces and one nephew; a very special great-niece, Danielle Spicer and a great-nephew, Tyler Spicer. His extended family, Glen Gardner, Angelo Gardner, Dwayne Gardner and Vickie Barnett.

He was pre-deceased by his father, Edward P. Tierney.

Graveside committal services will be held in Child Cemetery in Cornish on October 15th at One O’clock with Pastor Stephen Cook of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Beacon Hospice in Keene, NH.
