Christopher Lisischeff, 84, of 28 Emerson Rd, Unity NH died unexpectedly Thursday evening, September 3, 2009 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH He was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on May 10, 1925 the son of Elia and Maria (Mangova) Lisischeff. In 1954 he immigrated to the United States. Shortly thereafter he received a job as a chauffeur working for E. Clayton Gengras. He was happily employed for over 40 years. Christopher was a ‘one of a kind of person’ as friends would describe him. Next to being generous and sociable he had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies including soccer, gardening, antiquing and traveling. Most of all he loved the view and the life at ‘the lake’. The surviving family includes his wife of almost 45 years, Karin (Begert) Lisischeff; two daughters, Alexandra Mau of Columbus, Ohio and Elke Lisischeff of Charleston, South Carolina; one son Siegfried Lisischeff and his wife Julie of West Simsbury, Connecticut; two grandchildren Tyler Steady and Lorelei Lisischeff. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont NH, Monday, afternoon September 7th from 2 to 4pm. Burial will be held privately in the Acworth Cemetery.
