Cynthia Sue Simard, 64, of Lovers Lane Road in Charlestown, died Monday evening, November 2, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lynn, MA on February 21, 1945 the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Warchol) Macauley and had resided in Charlestown since 1982 and had previously lived in Georgetown, MA for thirteen years. Cynthia worked as an assembler for the past fifteen years at Whelen Engineering. For ten years in the 80’s, she worked at Lovers Lane Market. She enjoyed walking and riding her Harley. The surviving family includes her husband, Raymond E. Simard of Charlestown whom she married on Oct. 23, 1965; two sons, Kevin Simard of Leeds, ME and Mark Simard of Drewsville, NH; seven grandchildren; her mother, Helen Macauley of Charlestown; one sister, Marcia Willis of Lynn, MA; one brother, Kenneth Macauley of Irvine, CA and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her father and one sister, Shirley Crowley. Friends may call Sunday Afternoon, November 8th from 2 to 4 pm at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street, Charlestown, NH. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, November 9th at 10 am in the Chapel with Rev. Father Michael Gendron, Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Church officiating.
