Dean Fredrick Campbell, 86, of Fitch Reservoir Road in Claremont, died Thursday morning, July 8, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction, VT.

He was born in Springfield, VT on January 8, 1923 the son of Chester and Nellie (Richardson) Campbell and had resided in Claremont and in Milford, CT.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army.

Mr. Campbell worked as a tool cutter and grinder at Joy Manufacturing Co in Claremont and at Milford Rivert in Milford, CT.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Beverly (Donovan) Campbell.

The surviving family includes two daughters, Donna Kustra of Claremont and Julie Paquette of Wallingford, CT; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Campbell of Claremont and Earle Campbell of Charlestown and one sister Catherine Stoll of Orange City, FL.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, July 14th at 7 PM in the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 7 PM on Tuesday evening.

Interment will be at a later date in Wallingford, CT.
