Donald P. Fortin, 80, of Southbrook in Claremont, died Friday evening, June 5, 2009 at the Valley Regional Hospital.

He was the son of Napoleon J. and Euclyda (Bissonette) Fortin and a lifelong resident of Claremont.  He graduated from St. Mary’s School and the New England School of Art in Boston, MA.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, June L. Fortin, his only child, Vi Fortin Lewko and her husband Zachary F. Lewko.  His grandsons, Zachary D. Lewko of Lowell, MA and Mark J. Lewko of Austin, TX also survive him.

Don will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of the New England Patriots, wood working skill and artistic talent.

At his request there will be no public services.
