Emily Lynn Brown, 26, died January 15, 2009 of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Sunapee.  She was a native and life long resident of Claremont, born on August 8, 1982 and had recently moved to Sunapee.

Emily was a graduate of Stevens High School the class of 2000 and was employed at Pathways in Claremont as a direct support provider and advocate for the community-based folks with developmental disabilities.

She previously worked for Bond Auto Parts and Ramunto’s in Claremont, NH  and Jolly Roger Motorsports Park in Lempster, NH.

Emily was a joy to be around and would do anything to help a friend.  She lived life to the fullest and was a wonderful and devoted mother to her son. Emily and Kurt loved watching monster trucks together.

The surviving family includes her son, Kurt Coppola, her father, Gary Brown and his fiancé Beth Andros of Lempster, NH.  her mother, Deborah L. Hemingway and her fiancé Mark Courtemanche of Lebanon, NH.  her paternal grandparents, Sidney and Shirley Brown of Unity, her maternal grandparents, Donald Sr. and Amarylis (Carol) Girard of Claremont, NH.  one sister, Heather Benson and her husband Jeff of New Ipswich, NH.  one nephew Jeff and one niece Gabrielle.also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends and family may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont, NH on Sunday January 18, 2009 from 6 to 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11am at the Funeral Home with Father Stanley Piwowar Officiating.  Emily will be buried next to her great grandfather (Alfred Loiselle) in St. Mary Cemetery in the spring.

The family request that any donations be made to a trust fund for her son, payable to Kurt Coppola, C/O Lake Sunapee Savings Bank, PO Box 29, Newport, NH 03773  

A graveside committal service will be held Saturday morning May 23nd at 11AM in St. Mary Cemetery with Rev. Father Stanley Piwowar officiating.  Emily will be buried next to her great grandfather (Alfred Loiselle).
