James “Jamie” Edward Carrier, Jr., 55, of Beauregard Street in Claremont, died Sunday morning, April 19, 2009 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

He was born in Hanover, NH on February 9, 1954 the son of James Edward and Alice C. (Perkins) Carrier, Sr.

He worked as a cook and dishwasher at Sweitzers Restaurant in Sunapee and also at The New Hampshire College Manchester, NH, Fitz-Vogt Associates, Putney Schools and Brickers Restaurant in Claremont.

He loved flea markets, yard sales, free items and antiques.

The surviving family includes his wife, Anita C. (Lambert) Carrier of Claremont whom he married on June 7, 1986; his parents of Sunapee;  also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by a sister, Francis Marie West.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, April 25th at Eleven O’clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley J. Piwowar, officiating.

Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery in Newbury.
