Joseph Louis Pinard,99, formerly of 32 Dane Ave. in Claremont died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Elm Wood Center of Claremont, four days shy of his 100th birthday. He was born in Hardwick, VT on March 8, 1909 the son of Alfred and Albina (Touchette) Pinard and had resided in Claremont since the early 1940’s. Joseph was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army Air Corps. He retired in 1974 as an inspector at Joy Manufacturing Co. and had worked as a machinist for over thirty years. Joseph was a member of the VFW Post 808, the American Legion Post 29 and a life member of the Polish American Club in Claremont. Joseph was a communicant of St Mary’s Church. He married Flore Lamothe on Oct. 25, 1947 and she died on Nov.13, 1977. The surviving family includes one daughter, Louise F. Thibodeau and her husband, Steven; one granddaughter, Katherine Thibodeau all of Claremont and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers. A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday morning March 10th at eleven O’clock in St Mary’s Cemetery with the Rev. Father Shawn Therrien, pastor of St. Mary Church officiating. |
