Lillian Rose Richardson, 75, of 243 Broad Street, in Claremont, died Saturday morning, January 10, 2009 at the Elmwood Health Care of Claremont.

She was born in Hartland, VT on June 10, 1933 and was raised by her mother, Rose Ann (Adams) Dansereau and had resided in Claremont since 1945. She had previously lived in Charlestown, Newport and Kellyville.

Lillian worked as a secretary for the State of New Hampshire, Health and Human Services Division under the Green Thumb Program for one year and retired due to disability in 1991.  She had previously worked at Way School as a teachers aid, the CETA Program and the homemaker services  while taking care of her mother.

She enjoyed walking, reading, gardening and loved collecting Teddy Bears.

She was a former member of the Marion Phillips Association.

The surviving family includes three daughters, Laura Richardson of Putney, VT, Hope Richardson of Peru, VT and Mona Richardson of Middlebury, VT; two sons, Loren Richardson of Charlestown and Brett Richardson of Laconia; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Earl Dansereau and his wife, Pauline of Claremont one sister-in-law, Marie Dansereau of Claremont and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by one son, David Richardson in 1971 and one brother, Paul Dansereau in 1988.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, January 14th at Eleven O’clock at the Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Cook, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
