Robert Lee Tedford Sr., 53, of High Street, Claremont NH died Jan.13,2009 after a sudden illness. He was born to Harold and Eleanor (Cannon) Tedford July 14,1955 in Keene NH. Mr. Tedford was educated in local schools. He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and was honorary discharged. Mr. Tedford enjoyed auto racing, working on vehicles, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivor’s include his wife Trudy Tedford of Claremont whom he married on March 13, 1999, four sons, Robert Lee Tedford Jr. of Swanzey NH., Jason Tedford of Brattleboro Vt., Nathan Tedford and Arron Disorda of Claremont NH. His daughter Kimberly (Tedford) Guptill and husband Corey Guptill of Malborough NH.,one stepdaughter Kayla Woods and her fiancé Jason Gonyea of Newport NH, his parents Harold and Eleanor Tedford of Winchester NH.  two sisters Linda Morse and her husband William, Lucy Boutlilette and her partner Ken Lane. three brothers Arnold Tedford and his wife Alfreda, Wayne Tedford and his partner Pam, Steve Tedford and his partner Deb Stewart. six Grandchildren, Britney Guptill, Clayton Guptill, Xavier Carey, Jordon Gonyea, William Cullum and Takoda Gleason.

Bob raced the #56 lightning stock at the Claremont Speedway from 2002 to 2003.  He loved watching Nathan, Arron and Kayla race their sportman and wildcat race cars.  He enjoyed sitting in the garage with his dear friend Jim (Bro) Lanou and his good buddy Mike Burke working on the race cars.

Bob loved riding motorcycles and snowmobiles with his wife, fishing, hunting, and camping in Maine. He would lend a helping hand to anyone at the Claremont Speedway, Twin State Speedway and the Canaan Speedway.

He will truly be missed by his family and many dear friends with whom’s

Hearts he has touched. His dearest treasures in his life were his grandchildren whom he loved and cherished.  He loved his dog Katie and his four cats.

Family and Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street, Claremont on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 1 to 3pm with a funeral service at 3pm with Rev. Winn Alley, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating.
