William Walter “Kodiak” VanDerveer, Sr. 64, of Twistback Road in Claremont was lovingly taken home by his deceased relatives, (mother) Harriet Catherine Sherman, (father) John Stout VanDerveer and (brother) John William VanDerveer early Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 after a long bout of illness. He was self employed as a tattoo artist as “Tattoo by Kodiak”. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Juane A. (Tucker) VanDerveer; a daughter, Kelly Fields and her husband, David, a son, William VanDerveer, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Noelle Westcott, a daughter, Stacy VanDerveer and a son, Lijah VanDerveer and his wife, Christy; 14 grandchildren, Bret Forni, Jesse Forni, Samantha Picard, Christopher VanDerveer, Morgan Fields, Alec VanDerveer, Spencer Chase, Shane Fields, Elijah Forni, Brandon VanDerveer, Dylan Obrian, Austin Fields, Tyrese VanDerveer and Taneesha Day, with a grandchild on the way and one great-grandchild Jordan Thibodeau; one sister, Cheryl A. VanDerveer; 4 nephews, 8 nieces plus many more. We will always love you and your loss will be felt for a long time. Love ya Dad. A Memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, at Two O’clock on November 29, 2009 at the Stringer Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated. |
