Agnes Lorraine Rabtoy, 84, formerly of Cold Pond Road, West Unity, died Tuesday evening, February 9, 2010 at the Rutland Hospital in Rutland, VT.

She was born in Ludlow, VT on Aug. 4, 1925 the daughter of John and Charlotte (Wilkinson) Sheehan and had resided in East Wallingford, VT  for the past 2 years and previously lived in West Unity for 41 years and formerly in Ludlow and East Wallingford, VT.

She worked at Mack Molding Company in Cavendish, VT as a machine operator for five years and also at Gay Bros. Woolen Mill for five years.

She was the widow of Chauncey Robert Rabtoy whom she married on Aug. 10, 1942 and he died June 15, 2005.

Her surviving family includes one daughter, Lorraine Taylor and her husband, James of E. Wallingford, VT;  one son, Chauncey Daniel Rabtoy and his wife, Barbara of Claremont;  eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;  four brothers, Thomas Sheehan, Jerry Sheehan, John Sheehan and Daniel Sheehan;  two sisters, Alice and Doris; also nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death besides her husband; her son, Thomas Leo Rabtoy in 1997; her parents and her step-father, James Hall; three sisters, Eleanor Murphy, Katherine Peck and Margaret Sheehan; and two brothers, Francis Sheehan and Patrick Sheehan.

There are no visiting.  The Stringer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Graveside committal service will be held in the spring in the East Clarendon Cemetery.
