Brian McMann, 68, passed away at the Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2010.

He was born in Island Falls, ME on March 19, 1941 the son of Donald and Helena (Pelkey) McMann.

He received his education in the Claremont Schools and graduated from Stevens High School in the Class of 1960.  Brian was a member of the marching and concert band and orchestra and Acappela Choir.

He enlisted in the US Air Force out of high school and was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.

He worked at Jones and Lamson Machine Company in Springfield, Vt. for a short time then at Miniature Precision Bearing Company currently Timken of Keene, retiring after 32 years of service.

Brian was a member of Father Cote Council Knights of Columbus of Claremont and the American Legion Post of Keene for many years.

The surviving family includes his mother, Helena McMann; one brother, Barry McMann both of Claremont and cousins, Dawn Baker Meister, Janice Baker Cremo and Leonal “Stubby” Baker all of Connecticut.

He was predeceased by his father Donanld on October 31, 1997.

There are no visiting hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, Jan. 15th at Eleven O’clock in St Mary’ s Church with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.

The Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street is in charge of arrangements.
