Cecilia Marie Locke, 89, of Lempster, died Saturday evening, December 18, 2010 at the Sullivan County Health Care with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.   She was born in Lunenburg, MA on November 30, 1921 the daughter of George and Alice (Deblois) Dumont.  She resided in Lempster most of her married life and also spent many winters in Punta Gorda, FL.  Mrs. Locke enjoyed sewing, crafts and yard sales.

She was the widow of Charles A. Locke, II who died in 1994.

The surviving family includes one son, Charles A. ”Johnny”  Locke, III and his wife, Pat of Springfield, VT;  grandchildren, Rick Hamel of Sunapee, Debbie Shattuck, Donald Pratt, Lori Knox all of Springfield, VT and Sandra Foskett of Charlton, MA; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grand-children and two brothers, Paul Dumont of Lempster and Louis Dumont of Leominster, MA.

She was pre-deceased by one daughter, Patricia  Nash in July of 2010 and her sister, Lori Lewis and brother, Joseph Dumont.

At her request there will be a family gathering and service in the spring.

The family suggests that donations may be made in her memory to Horseshoe Pines Home, 79 Province Road, in Goshen, NH 03752 where she lived for the past year and a half.
