Charlene Comstock, 90, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon April 8, 2010 at her son’s house.  She was born on April 15, 1919 in Genevia, New York the daughter of William and Ada (Willard) Stone.

She had fond memories of growing up at Stoneholm farm in Springfield, Vermont.

Charlene married Lovell Comstock on June 7, 1943 and moved to Charlestown where they ran Sunnyfields greenhouses.

She particularly enjoyed her time working as the town clerk in Charlestown.

She fondly remembered her many calls and visits from friends in retirement and daily calls from her sister, Ada Hurd.

Charlene was predeceased by her husband, Lovell in1999; one brother, Bill; one sister, Ada, and one grandson, Aaron Comstock.

Survivors include her son, Lovell, II and his wife Jane, two grandchildren, Emily and Lucas Comstock; one brother, Chet Stone and his kind wife, Ruth and a special friend, Betty McLaughlin

In honoring Charlene’s wishes, there will be no services.
