Eleanor Philleson, 84, of Clark Camp Road, Cornish passed into heaven on December 16, 2010 from her home with family and friends by her side. 

Eleanor was born in Hackensack, NJ.  She was the youngest of 5 children.  After marrying Raymond Philleson and living on a farm in West Lebanon, NH for 3 years, she moved her family to Rockville, CT where she worked for Pratt & Whitney until her daughter Lorna was born.  She went to work at SNET where she retired after 26 years.  While she lived in Rockville she held various positions of the Eastern Star.  After her retirement, Eleanor, Raymond and Lorna moved to Cornish Flat, NH.  Eleanor also retired from K-mart.  Her happiest memories were her presidency with the garden club and toiling in her own acre garden, giving every nursery competition.   Her favorite flower was the daisy and this graced the many flower beds she enjoyed. 

She is survived by her husband, Raymond of 65½ years; her loving sister, Elizabeth Wimmer; three daughter’s, Carolyn Surdel,  Sandra DeLuca and Lorna Rae Philleson and son-in-law, Daniel  Surdel.  She enjoyed her four grandchildren, Anastasia Johansen, Ray DeLuca, Lennore Murphy, and Chad Surdel and seven great-grandchildren, Kelsi and Nicholas Johansen, Destiny and Sebastyen Surdel, Devin, Lauren and Justin Murphy.

She leaves many friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23rd at 11AM in the Weathersfield Bow Baptist Church on Rte. 5, Weathersfield, VT with Pastor Walter McDaniel, officiating.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 6 PM at the Weathersfield Bow Baptist Church.  Burial will be held privately in Edminister Cemetery, Cornish, NH.
