Erdine Inez White, 82, of Grannis Street in Claremont, died Thursday morning, January 21, 2010 at the Sullivan County Health Care. She was born in Goshen, NH on September 10, 1927 the daughter of Clayton R. and Mildred (Scranton) Buswell and had resided in Claremont most of her life. She was a graduate of Farmington High School. Erdine retired in 1983 from the billing office at Claremont General Hospital where she worked for 18 years. Then she lived in California for 15 years and worked for Dr. Lawrence Koning as a clerk. She was a member of the Union Episcopal Church and the Women’s Guild of the Union Church. The surviving family includes her husband, Robert Allan White, Sr., of Claremont whom she married on May 26, 1946; five sons, Robert A. White, Jr., Jonathan White and Mark White all of Claremont, Dennis White of Anniston, AL, Kevin White of Foley, AL, three daughters, Susan Lorden of Milford, NH, Kimberly McSwain of Corona, CA, Marcia White of Riverside, CA; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helene Norman of Charlestown, Edith Kidder of Hooksett, NH and Nancy Decoteau of Claremont and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by one brother, Leonard Buswell and one sister, Lucille Parkinson There are no visiting hours. The Stringer Funeral Home and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 26th at Two O’clock in West Claremont Burial Grounds at Union Cemetery with Rev. Susan Langle Rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to do so should make a donation to their favorite charity in memory of Erdine White. |
