Fred Eslie DeCelle, 69, of the Charlestown Road in Acworth, NH, died Thursday,  September  30, 2010 at the Mount  Ascutney  Hospital  in Windsor, VT.   He was born in South Royalton, VT on November 9, 1940 the son of Fred and Laura (Jones) DeCelle.  He had lived in Acworth for the past two years and had previously resided in Weathersfield for 51 years.

Fred retired from the Springfield School System where he worked as a custodian for five years and had previously worked as a machinist for 43 years at Cone-Blanchard Machine Company in Windsor.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Ascutney, VT.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, reading (especially western books) and loved horses and riding his two-wheel gig cart (sulky).

The surviving family includes his wife, Joan Anne (Davis) DeCelle of Acworth whom he married on Nov. 9, 1959; three sons, Fred Robert DeCelle and his wife Wendy of Springfield, VT, Dale Delmer Dezan and his wife Andrea of Ascutney, VT and Timothy Brian DeCelle and his wife Lynn of Newport;  six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Laura  Jones of Windsor, VT;  one brother, Delos DeCelle of Elkton, NC, also one aunt and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday  morning, Oct. 6th at Eleven O’clock  at the Funeral Home with  Bishop,  Bernard Ferland,  officiating. 

Interment will follow in Acworth Cemetery.
