Gloria Jean Tenney, 68, of Old Claremont Rd., Charlestown, NH died Monday evening, April 5, 2010, at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH.

She was born in Weston, VT on Nov. 15, 1941, the daughter of Hugh and Clara (DeCell) Colburn and had resided in Charlestown nearly all her life.

She attended Charlestown High School.  She retired from Tambrands, Inc. on May 3, 2002, where she worked as a machine operator for nearly 30 years.

 The surviving family includes her husband, John F. Tenney of Charlestown whom she married on April 16, 1960, one son, John F. Tenney, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Charlestown; one daughter, Lisa M. Livengood and her husband, Lonn  of Alstead; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Alison Livengood of Alstead; eight sisters, Janet Smith of Keene, Joan Russell of Fla., Nancy Mack of Charlestown, Donna Hebert of Keene, Judy Barrett of Langdon, Kathy Turner of Swan Island, ME, Pam Smith of Greenville, SC and Linda Evans of Alstead; seven brothers, Hugh Colburn, Jr. of FL, Glenn Colburn, Jim Colburn, Jack Colburn all of Charlestown, Fay Colburn and Donald Colburn both of Ludlow, VT and David Colburn of Simpsonville, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, one sister, Alice Gabert,  and three brothers, Lloyd Colburn, Gary Colburn and Eli Colburn.

Graveside committal services will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 2 PM in Pine Crest Cemetery, Charlestown, NH with Rev. Janice Howe of the Third Congregational Church of Alstead officiating.
