Jackie Peaslee, 68, of Summer Street in Claremont, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Valley Regional Hospital. She was born in Windsor, Vt. on April 12, 1942 the daughter of Ira J. and Margaret B. (White) Tenney and had resided in Claremont most of her life. She worked in assembly at the Holson Photo Album and previously at Dartmouth Woolen Mill. Jackie loved cooking, gardening, outdoors, family, shopping, bingo, watching Law & Order and hanging with her best friend Suwan Peterson. She was the widow of Elmer E. Peaslee whom she married on July 1, 1961 and he died Sept. 14, 1991. The surviving family include one son, Dennis Peaslee of Claremont; three daughters, Lisa Langlois of Sunapee, Sheila Lee and Mary Peaslee both of Claremont; one foster son, Rocki Wentzell of Claremont; nine grandchildren, Jennifer McCall of Manchester, Krystal Peaslee of Walpole, Arthur Cutter III of Salisbury, Laura Peaslee of Charlestown, Mike Peaslee of Claremont, Aaron Lee of Newport, Dennis Peaslee Jr., Emily Peaslee and Eric Peaslee all of Claremont; two brothers, Larry Tenney of Tampa, Fl and Hank Tenney of Lebanon; also several nieces and nephews. Jackie was also due to be a great-grandmother in June. She was predeceased by a brother, James Tenney. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, May 26th at Eleven O’clock at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont with Rev. Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor of St Mary’s Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Two O’clock in the Tunbridge Village Cemetery. |
