Jearold Lester Wilcox Sr., 68, of Old State Road in Charlestown died suddenly of a heart attack, Tuesday, November 30, 2010, while deer hunting. He was born on February 1, 1942 in Charlestown, NH the son of Frank H. and Ada M. (Benware) Wilcox. Jerry worked for twenty-five years for Green Mountain Paper in Bellows Falls, VT and recently was self-employed as a roofer and carpenter. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, cookouts and spending time with family. He was an excellent carpenter and a jack of all trades. The family includes nine children; Tami Hancock and her husband Tom of Alstead, Jerry Wilcox, Jr. of Virginia, Lori Wilcox of Windsor, VT, Kim Rheaume and her husband Steve of Springfield, VT, Keith Wilcox and his wife Beth of Louisiana, Thad Wilcox and his fiancé` Heather of Springfield, VT, Shawn Hastings and his wife Lynda of Springfield, VT, Holly Branigin of New York, Todd Wilcox and his wife Alika of Charlestown; twenty one grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Wilcox and his wife Sarah of Dorset, VT and Kevin Wilcox and his wife Nancy of Halifax, VT, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Frances LeBarron, two brothers, Leo Wilcox and Harry “Sonny” Wilcox; two sisters, Norma Barnett and Alta Wilcox. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at One O’clock in the afternoon in Forest Hills Cemetery on East Street in Charlestown, NH with Rev. Janice Howe Pastor of the 3rd Congregational Church of Alstead officiating. Arrangements are with the Charlestown Memorial Chapel, 34 Main Street, Charlestown, NH. |
