Kathleen Rose “Kitty” Berry, 58, of Tenney Hill Road in Ascutney, VT died unexpectedly Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.  She was born in Springfield, VT on November 8, 1951 the daughter of William R. McNeil and Clara L. Holden and resided in Ascutney, VT most of her life.

She was an inspector of parts for Cone Blanchard in Windsor, VT for many years.  After the closing of the factory Kitty became the full time baby sitter for her grandchildren which were the love of her life.

The family includes one son, Christopher Berry and his wife Shelly of Claremont; one daughter, Michelle Pike and her husband Mitchell of Ascutney, VT; seven grandchildren, Kelsea Edwards, Emily Berry, Christian Edwards, Ty Berry, MJ Pike, Xavier Pike and MacKenzie Pike; one sister, Linda (George) Wright of Russel, NY; six brothers, Robert (Kathy) McNeil, William McNeil both of Ascutney, VT, Steve (Andrea) McNeil of Elizabethtown, KY, Michael (Donna) McNeil, Randy (Terri) McNeil and Stuart (Debbie) McNeil all of Claremont, NH.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Trystan Berry and Clara Pike and one brother, Roger (Yvonne) McNeil.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Thursday evening March 25th from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home on Friday, March 26th at 11 AM with Rev. Priscilla Hull, officiating.

Burial will follow in Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney.

A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge on Pleasant Street in Claremont.
