Lorraine Marie Bentley, of Old Claremont Road, Charlestown, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 4, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Claremont, NH on August 9, 1935, the daughter of Salomon J. and Aurore (Marchand) Boissonneault. She lived most of her life in Claremont and Charlestown, NH. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School Class of 1953. Lorraine was a very successful and respected real estate broker in the Claremont area for over 30 years. She was a member of the Greater Claremont Board of Realtors and a director of the Claremont Soup Kitchen for many years. She loved to take long walks, was an avid swimmer, enjoyed reading and she loved the ocean. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed having them in her home and the many days and weeks she spent with them on the beaches of Maine, South Carolina and Florida. The surviving family includes her husband of 55 years, John Bentley; her son, Thomas and his wife Susan of Walpole, NH and their sons Kyle and Jesse Bentley; her son, Stephen Bentley and his daughter, Marissa and two sons, Eric and Ryan Bentley of Charlestown, NH. Lorraine is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Rosinski and her husband Stanley of Swanzey, NH; her sister, Edna Scott of Concord, NH and her Sister, Doris Bergeron and husband Albert of Claremont, NH and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will all miss her beautiful smile and loving personality. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Claremont, NH on Wednesday, April 7th at Eleven O’clock with Rev. Father Shawn M. Therrien, Pastor, officiating. Internment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Parish, 32 Pearl Street, Claremont, NH 03743. |
