Majella “Midge” (Trottier) Bellavance-Doiron, 82, of  Southbrook Drive, Claremont died Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.

Midge was born in Wilder, VT, June 30, 1927 the daughter of Arthur and Leda (Allaire) Trottier. She graduated from Hartford High school in 1945 and then worked at the White River Paper Company. She married Gerard “Gerry” Bellavance, on August 1, 1948.  After his passing, she was married to Paul Doiron on December 16, 2006.   

The surviving family includes her husband Paul,  four sons, Peter and his wife Joanne of St. Cloud, MN; Steve and his partner Gus Diaz of Chesterfield, NH; Gerry and his wife Nanette of Newport, NH;  and Dale and his wife Susan of Newbury, NH. Three daughters: Jeanne Demars and her husband John of Acworth, NH; Mary Ann Ouellette and her husband Gary and Janet Millette and her husband Louis all of Claremont. She is also survived by her fifteen beloved grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Emmanuel “Pete” Trottier and his wife Barbara of Florida, Nova Trottier and his wife Pauline of Claremont, Robert Trottier of W. Lebanon,  and one sister Bella Ruel and her husband Roland of Springfield, MA.

She was predeceased by her husband of fifty seven years, Gerard Bellavance on August 13, 2005; her parents Arthur and Leda, two sisters Joan Goudreau, Eva Trottier and one infant brother Donat.

She lived most of her life in Claremont, NH and wintered several years in Winter Haven, Fl. She was a devoted wife and mother with a passion for her faith and family. Her special interests included gardening, golfing, dancing, and reading. 

She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish, Claremont and St. Anne’s Parish, Haines City, Fl where she served as a lector.

Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, March 10th at Eleven O’clock at St. Mary’s Church in Claremont.

Interment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the many wonderful and dedicated health professionals who helped care for her during her recent illness.
