Mark Anthony “Moose” Johnson, 52, of Aurora, Illinois died February 17, 2010 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.

He was born in Claremont, NH on November 25, 1957 the son of Kenneth and JoAnn (Martell) Johnson.

Mark was a graduate of Stevens High School in the Class of 1975.

He retired as a First Sergeant with the United States Marine Corp, having served from 1975 to 2001.

Mark was an active member of the Naperville Church of Christ, very civic minded, a WWII history buff and was a donor.

The surviving family includes his wife, Jennifer (Bridges) Johnson; his son, James David Johnson; his daughter, Margaret-Rose Alexis Johnson all of Aurora, IL; his mother, JoAnn Johnson of Charlestown; his brother, Gary Johnson of White River Junction, VT; his sisters, Janet Weed of Cornish, Karen Thompson of Bridgewater, VT and Wendy Johnson of Keene and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was pre-deceased by his father, Kenneth Johnson and his brother, Neal Johnson.

A memorial service was held February 20, 2010 at the Naperville Church of Christ and interment was private.

The Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 South Washington Street, Naperville, IL was in charge of arrangements.
