Miralyn (Lapoint) Parkhurst, loving wife
of Larry W. Parkhurst, passed away on May 17, 2010 after a lengthy
illness. She was born on Nov. 14, 1934 in St. Johnsbury, VT , daughter
of Clifford and Evelyn (Wilkie) Lapoint. She grew up in Springfield, VT
and graduated from Springfield High School. She was employed as a food service worker at the North Charlestown Community School for several years. After she retired, she returned to the school as a volunteer with reading groups and in the library. She enjoyed reading, traveling and shopping, and most of all time spent with her loving family. In addition to her beloved husband with whom she shared 47 years of marriage, she is survived by 4 daughters; Kathra Parrott and husband John, Joyce O'Brien, Janet Ramsey and husband George, and Lisa Rogers and husband Scott, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Per request of the family, there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be at a later date in Pinecrest Cemetery.
