Peter Barbieri, 84, of Claremont, NH, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010  at Elm Wood Center of Claremont, NH.

          Peter was born on April 18, 1926 in Pergamino, Buenos Aires, South America. He was the son of Francesco and Clementina (Lanfranchi) Barbieri of Casola, Parma, Italy. The family moved back to Italy in 1933 and Peter lived there until he came to the USA in  1956. 

          Peter worked at Tuxedo Foods in Bellows Falls, Vt. for 8 yrs.  and then worked at Cone Blanchard in Windsor, Vt. for 25 yrs. retiring in 1989.  He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Bellows Falls, Vt. Lodge 527.

          He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Marro) Barbieri whom he married on Oct. 19, 1963, one sister, Lores Dalla Tana of Casola, Italy; one niece, Francesca Lovecchio and her husband Claudio of Parma, Italy; many cousins including Rita (Barbieri) Bruce of Bellows Falls, Vt. and a special Godchild, Diane (Bruce) Stack of Saxtons River, VT.  He is also survived by 3 brothers-in-law, Nicholas Marro and his wife Arline and Albert Marro and his wife Alberta  both of Claremont, and Paul Marro of Louisville, Ky.; 2 sisters-in-law, Katherine (Marro) Moore and her husband Michael of Charlestown, and Carmella (Marro) Tenney and her husband William of Claremont; and 5  nieces, 12 nephews, 21 great nieces, 22 great nephews, and  2 great, great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers.

          Friends may call from  5   to  8 PM  on Monday, Dec. 6^th  at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., Claremont, NH.

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church,   58 Elm St, Claremont, NH. at   11:00  O’clock  on Tuesday   with  Father George Majka and Fr. Stanley J. Piwowar Co-officiating. 

Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
