Priscilla Bechok, 83, of East Washington Rd., in Hillsboro, NH died Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2010 at Genesis Eldercare Center at Lebanon. She was born in Claremont, NH on October 5, 1926 the daughter of Fred and Mae (Emerson) Hutchins. She was raised in Charlestown, lived in Claremont many years, retired to Sarasota, Fla. in 1986 and returned to New Hampshire this past year. She graduated from Charlestown High School. Priscilla retired in 1986 from the Claremont Savings Bank where she was a teller for 16 years. She was a member of the Charlestown DAR. She loved her family, also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching soap’s on TV and swimming in Sarasota. She was the widow of Peter Bechok, Sr. whom she married on Sept. 2, 1944 and he died Aug. 1, 1998. The surviving family includes one son, Peter Bechok, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Unity; four daughters, Carole Bechok-Buzzell and her husband Ron of Hillsboro, Elaine McAllister of Hopkinton, Catherine Lather and her husband Mark of Brownsville, VT and Cynthia Hockett of Sarasota, FL; seven grandchildren, Jamie and Erin Bechok, Martin Buzzell, Corey McAllister, Jessica Washburn, Ryan Lather and Taylor Hockett, also ten great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, Sept. 21st at Eleven O’clock at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Lynn Hubley, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bradford, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt View Cemetery in Claremont.
