Roberta Faith Barker Moulton, 62, of Ascutney, VT and formerly of Charlestown, NH passed away peacefully Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Sullivan County Health Care after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Bridgton, Maine on February 3, 1948 the daughter of Irving and Mildred (Seavey) Ridlon. She was a 1966 graduate of Nute High School in Milton, NH. Roberta was employed by Ames of Springfield, VT for 10 years, Wal-Mart of Claremont for 10 years and Circle K of Ascutney, VT for 1 year. Roberta was a loving and giving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend her days on the road shopping, visiting with family, watching Martha Stewart and her cooking shows, but what she loved most of all was spending time with her grandchildren. Whether it was long trips up north or bringing them to the latest movie, picking them up from school or getting down on the floor to play cars, her grandchildren always came first. She was married to Gary L. Barker, Sr. on August 6, 1966 for 24 years. The family includes, one daughter, Jane Nye of Perkinsville, VT; two sons, Gary L. Barker, Jr. and his wife, Heather of Unity,NH and Matthew Barker of North Walpole, NH; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Caitlynn, Kelsey, Alyssa and Cooper; two nieces, Brenda and Loretta and one nephew Reggie, also several other nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Olin Ridlon and one sister, Dorothy Illsley; three nephews, Phillip, Daniel and Nathan. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held in the spring at North Bridgton Cemetery in Maine.
