Roger W. Courtemanche, 84, of 2 Winter Street in Claremont, died Tuesday afternoon, June 8, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was a native and life long resident of Claremont, NH born on November 6, 1925, the son of Ernest A. and Laura (Gilbert) Courtemanche.

He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy.

Roger was a member of the American Legion, he was a huge Celtics Fan and an avid fisherman in the area.

Family includes his wife Dorothy M. Courtemanche of Claremont whom he married on August 4, 1956; two daughters, Lori Courtemanche and her companion Dave Viens of Claremont, Sindie Hurd and her husband Warren of Lempster; one brother, Andre Courtemanche and his wife Etta of Claremont, NH; one sister, Georgette Crosby of Hillsboro; three grandsons, Jody Barry, Ryan Bakis and Jason Teeter; four granddaughters, Tanda Beauregard, Lisa Teeter, Kearstine Barry, Bethany Johnson; seven great grandsons, Jody, Jr., Zach, Login Barry, Jason and Brandon Teeter, Owen Bakis, Jackson Kalil; two great granddaughters, Jamie Barry and Lissa Teeter.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Norman Courtemanche, one sister, Marie Ryley.

There will be no visiting hours.

A Celebration of his life will be held at his daughter Lori’s home at 149 Alden Road, Claremont, NH on Saturday, June 12th from 1-5 PM (watch for balloons).
